The canvas, stretcher and attachments are in generally good condition. There is paper tape along the turnover edges. There are some drying craquelures in places. There are further craquelures in the white and purple passages in the lower left quadrant and in the dark and green passages in the lower part of the semicircle. There are a few paint losses along the left edge, due to framing. When examined under ultraviolet light, there are retouchings visible in the centre right and along the lower edge.
