The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Pencil and estompe on paper. The reverse of the sheet is hinged to the mount in two places along the upper edge. The sheet stems from the artist’s sketchbook as visible with the perforated left edge. Some light- and mount-staining with a very few pale spots of foxing in places. The sheet undulates very slightly. Subject to the foregoing it is or opinion that this work appears to be in generally good condition.

Graphite et estompe sur papier. Le revers de la feuille est maintenu par des charnières au montage à deux endroits le long du bord supérieur. La feuille provient d’un carnet de l’artiste, comme le montre le bord gauche perforé. Brunissement de la feuille du au montage et insolation de la feuille avec de très rares et légères piqures par endroits. La feuille ondule très légèrement. Sous réserve de ce qui précède et selon notre opinion, cette œuvre apparait en bonne condition générale.
