The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Vase tourné en céramique peinte, partiellement incisé et émaillé. Légère salissure de surface avec quelques petites taches par endroits. De petites piqûres par endroits dans les pigments bruns, inhérentes au processus de cuisson. Un petit trou vers l’œil gauche, probablement inhérent à la technique de céramique de l’artiste. Un petit éclat sur la partie droite du col. Les usures habituelles par endroits. Examiné à la lampe à ultra-violets : pas de retouche apparente. Sous réserve de ce qui précède et selon notre opinion, cette œuvre apparaît en bonne condition générale.

Painted turned ceramic vase, partially engraved and glazed. Some pale surface dirt with a few small stains in places. Some small spots of foxing in the brown pigments inherent to the firing process. One small hole towards the left eye, probably inherent to the artist’s ceramic technique. One small chip on the right part of the collar. The usual wears and tears in places. Examined under ultra-violet light : no apparent retouching. Subject to the foregoing, it is our opinion that this work appears to be in generally good condition.
