The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Le draps est marouflé sur toile. La surface est très légèrement encrassée et poussiéreuse. Les bords du draps sont légèrement irréguliers. Quelques très petites accrétions sont visibles par endroits sur la surface. Certaines des parties peintes présentent quelques très petites zones d'écaillage accompagnées, pour certaines, de très petits manques de matière. Examinée à la lumière UV: pas de repeint apparent. Sous réserve de ce qui précède, selon notre opinion, l'oeuvre est en bon état général de conservation.

The fabric is laid on canvas. The surface is very slightly dirty and dusty. The edges of the fabric are slightly deckled. There are a few minor accretions in places to the surface. Some of the painted parts present small flaking areas, some accompanied with very small paint losses. Examined under UV light: no visible inpainting. Subject to the foregoing, it is our view that the work appears to be in overall good condition.
