Lot Essay

The present collection of Pu Ru paintings and calligraphy was acquired directly from the artist by one of his students in Taiwan. A neighbor in Taipei, she studied with Pu Ru in the 1950s for about 5 years and had the opportunity to acquire many paintings and calligraphy for study and enjoyment.
