An example from the 'Aquanaut' collection, this particular piece was produced a decade after the release of the first Aquanaut. Introduced in 2007, this model is from the initial year of production for this reference. Additionally, this watch has never been publicly offered before.
The Ref. 5165 brought several updates compared to its predecessor, the Ref. 5065. The strap was now referred to as "bombé," while the textured dial was smoother with a slightly darker shade. The numerals were bigger, and the '3' was no longer present. The outer minute markers were smaller, and the signature was slightly enlarged. Moreover, the deployant buckle was a bit heavier, and the crown featured a subtle redesign. Despite these changes, the case maker and the overall size remain the same.
The Ref. 5165 was only produced for 5 years and was discontinued in 2012 with the introduction of the reference 5167.
