The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The sheet is hinged to the backing board along the upper edge and undulates slightly. The lower edge of the sheet is slightly irregular. Faint handling marks are to the margins of the sheet. Visible under close inspection, a few tiny drying cracks are above center to the upper register in a light gray painted passage. Very faint creasing is to the collage elements. Visible under very close inspection and ultraviolet light, a pinpoint accretion is to the upper left margin of the sheet. There is no apparent inpainting visible under ultraviolet light.
