The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The edges are slightly deckled with faint discoloration. Minor foxing appears occasionally across the surface, predominantly to the upper left edge and lower right corner. Fine creases are visible along the edges. On the reverse, the condition is consistent with the aforementioned condition observed on the front. Four strips of yellow tapes presumably for paper consolidation are visible along the edges. Cappellin's seal and reference number 239.
