The musical Really Rosie, with book and lyrics by Maurice Sendak and music by Carole King, was first created as a CBS television special that aired in 1975 before being turned into a live stage show that ran Off-Broadway in 1980 and again in 2017. The present storyboard shows a glimpse into Sendak's world-building for the initial animated version, showcasing a tableau of Sendak's early characters.
