Specialist Notes:

Terry O’Neill, can boast one of the most impressive portfolios of celebrity portraiture. Known for capturing his subjects candidly and in real rather studio settings, his images have reached a cult status to match that of their subjects. Considered one of his most famous images, this photograph of Faye Dunaway at dawn in 1977, captures perfectly the mood of the moment, and indeed a little something of Hollywood. Taken the morning after she won the Oscar for Best Actress for Network, Faye Dunaway, who at the time was dating Terry O’Neill, looks fittingly disengaged regarding her achievement as she lounges by the pool at the Beverly Hills hotel.
