The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The sheet is hinged to the backing board along the upper edge and undulates slightly near the upper edge. The sheet has shifted slightly in tone and time staining is to the edges. Visible under raking light, faint creasing is infrequent to the edges and lower left corner. Handling marks are occasionally to the margins of the sheet. A few pinpoint accretions are infrequent. There is no apparent inpainting visible under ultraviolet light.
