The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

- Overall condition: good. Normal signs of wear, some small scratches and a few small nicks throughout. Double pins with safety catches.
- Additional marks: French marks.
- Amethysts with typical inclusions, some small surface scratches.
- Emeralds with numerous inclusions, some chips and surface-reaching.
- Rubies with numerous inclusions, some surface-reaching.
- Sapphires with numerous inclusions, a few surface-reaching.
