L'oeuvre est peinte sur un papier marouflé sur toile. L'ensemble est tendu sur un châssis récent, à clefs.
A l'oeil nu, on constate d'anciennes déchirures au-dessus de la colonne et dans la partie droite du ciel.
Le bleu du ciel semble restauré.
L'examen à la lumière UV révèle des restaurations extensives dans le ciel ayant été entièrement repris. Les cernes de la colonne ainsi que le tronc du palmier ont été renforcés.

The work is painted on paper laid down on canvas. It is stretched on a recent stretcher with keys.
In natural light, old tears can be seen above the column and in the upper right part of the sky.
The blue of the sky appears to have been restored.
Examination under UV light reveals extensive restoration in the sky, which has been completely restored. The rings of the column and the trunk of the palm tree have been reinforced.
