The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The canvas, stretcher and attachments are in generally good condition. There are a very few soft craquelures in places, predominantly towards the upper centre horizonal edge. There is some minor rubbing to the extreme edges and corners. The impasto is well preserved. There is some soft surface dust and dirt in places. There is some soft staining in places. There is a soft vertical abrasion of circa 12cm. in the lower right corner. Examination under ultraviolet light shows no indication of inpainting. It is our opinion that the work is in good condition.
