The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

This is an early work by the artist. The condition of these works is often troubled. In this case, the retouches are extensive throughout. The restorations are quite good as far as they go, and the lining is successful. One could improve the work slightly if the retouching were continued, but this would remain a very damaged work nonetheless.
