The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Minor wear, scuffs, transfer marks and a few tiny losses are to the corner-tips and edges of the artist's frame. A small crack is to the upper left corner-tip of the artist's frame, and a few hairline cracks are to the upper inner edge of the artist's frame, only visible under close inspection. Pinpoint spots of foxing are infrequently to the backing board. The sheet is hinged periodically at the corners and edges to the backing board, undulates slightly, and very faint handling indents are occasional. A few tiny tears and losses are to the found photographs, likely in keeping with the artist's choice of medium. Spots of stray media and adhesive residue are occasional, presumably studio-related. There is no apparent inpainting visible under ultraviolet light.
