The canvas, stretcher and attachments are in generally good condition. The work is structurally sound. The canvas is slack to the stretcher. There are handling marks and some signs of wear, with some associated material losses, to the extreme edges and corners. There are a few loose threads in places, in keeping with the nature of the medium. There are two holes in the lace, one in the lower left corner and on in the lower centre area. Examination under ultraviolet light shows no indication of inpainting. It is our opinion that the work is in good condition.
