The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Le Gave
- an oblique tear (circa 75 mm.) from the upper edge of the sheet of Chine to the right, repaired and with associated surface rubbing.
- some other areas of minor rubbing and fine creases along the edges of the Chine sheet.
- the Chine paper was possibly lifted off (for repair?) and then re-attached; some adhesive staining outside the Chine sheet edges on the support sheet.
- the support sheet with some very minor foxing, surface dirt and handling creases.
- three short, repaired tears (circa 10 mm. and shorter) at the lower edge of the support sheet.
- a pencil inscription (artist's name, title, date and reference numbers) at the lower left sheet corner recto.
- pale mount staining verso.
Premier frontispice
- with wide margins but with a faint pencil line along the sheet edges and probably trimmed.
- a foxmark on the Chine sheet in the blank area a lower centre, another at lower left, a small area of foxing near the left sheet edge at centre, some pale foxing on the support sheet in the margins.
- remains of an old protective glassine sheet or guard along the upper edge of the support sheet.
- inscribed recto in pencil 2ND State and number 0346.
Intérieur flamand
- the sheet slightly irregularly tone, with pale light- and mount staining.
- some minor handling marks, and a few tiny spots in the margins.
- a small area of tape staining at the upper sheet edge at centre verso, showing faintly through recto.
- a pencil inscription (title, date, artist's name, another title and reference number) near the lower sheet edge verso.
