The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The canvas undulates slightly, most notably to the upper left edge. Wear and small losses are to the edges and turning edges, and a faint stretcher bar impression with associated hairline cracks is visible to the edges. A small, faint and circular forward distortion is to the center. Several hairline cracks with associated pinpoint losses and several minute accretions are occasionally within the composition. Under ultraviolet light, a few small spots of inpainting are visible right of center in a red passage.
