The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Cette œuvre est vendue encadrée. L'œuvre est sur sa toile d'origine. La toile est légèrement détendue. La surface est légèrement encrassée et poussiéreuse. Quelques petits enfoncements, quelques points d'accrétion, de légères traces de frottement et de très fines craquelures stables sont visibles par endroits sur la surface. Examinée à la lumière UV: pas de repeint apparent. Sous réserve de ce qui précède, selon notre opinion, l’œuvre est en bon état général de conservation.

This work is sold framed. The work is not lined. The canvas is slightly loose. The surface is slightly dirty and dusty. A few small dents, a few pinpoint accretions, minor rubbing and very fine stable cracks are visible in places to the surface. Examined under UV light: no visible inpainting. Subject to the foregoing, it is our view that the work appears to be in overall good condition.
