The work is structurally sound. There is minor wear to the racquet cover and to the side edges of the racquet. The lead joins are slightly discolored in places with age. There is an abrasion to the plastic wrap that covers the racquet's handle, possibly pre-existing the sculpture's execution. The racquet's bumper guard and grommets are lifting at the ends.
