The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The edges are slightly deckled with faint discolouration. Minor foxing occasionally on the surface. Fine creases are visible throughout the composition, predominantly in the upper left and lower right corners. A faint tracing mark runs across the arm and torso of the figure. A negligible horizontal fold mark runs across the center of the work. A seal impression at the lower left corner tip. On the reverse, the condition is consistent with the aforementioned condition observed on the front. Cappellin's seal and the reference number 296. Subject to the foregoing, it is in our opinion that the work is in overall good condition.
