The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The edges are very slightly deckled with faint discolouration. Very minor foxing occasionally on the surface. Upon close inspection, faint creases scattered along the edges. Faint transfer of the seal mark is visible near the hand and heels. A seal impression is present at the lower left. A minute tear is present at the upper center edge. On the reverse, the condition is consistent with the aforementioned condition observed on the front. Faint traces of paper consolidation are visible along the upper, right, and left edges. Faint ink marks are present along the left side of the sheet. Cappellin's seal and reference number 167. Subject to the foregoing, it is in our opinion that the work is in overall good condition.
