The board is not hinged to the backing board, but lies within the mat window. Minor wear, rubbing and a few losses are to the corner-tips and edges of the sheet. The paper collage elements have shifted slightly in tone. Adhesive residue and faint spots of discoloration are occasional, most notably to the upper register of the sheet. A few abrasions are to the left edge and a pinpoint protusion is to the lower edge in a red colored passage, visible under raking light. There is no apparent inpainting visible under ultraviolet light.
