The sheets are hinged at the upper corners with metal thumbtacks to the backing board, and the upper right corner has additional hinging to the backing board. A few pinpoint spots of paint loss and partial tears are to the areas surrounding the thumbtacks. The sheets undulate slightly and soft creasing is intermittently, in keeping with the artist's working method and choice of support. Under ultraviolet light, the upper right corner fluoresces from hinging. There is no apparent inpainting visible under ultraviolet light.
