The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
In addition to the catalogue description:
- all with some slight toning and minor discolouration, some scattered foxmarks (more prominent on plates 10, 12 and 13).
- some repairs at the corners, occasional nicks and minor tears at the sheet edges, and a few thin spots.
- some folds and creasing in places, mainly visible in raking light.
- most plates with offsetting from another impression verso.

- the two left corners made up.

- the upper left corner made up.

- with a 3 x 40 mm. made-up paper loss at the upper centre.
- a 30 mm. diagonal repaired tear at centre right.
Plate 11
- watermark Foolscap.
- the impression very good and uniform but cleanly wiped; probably from a different, presumably contemporary printing.
Plate 14
- with thread margins.
Plate 18
- with a vertical printer's crease at lower centre.
Otherwise as described and in good condition.
In two mounts and frames, containing with 9 sheets each, the mounts measuring 65 x 50 cm. each.
