The sheet is laid down onto a backing board. When viewed unframed, the extreme edges of the sheet are slightly lighter in tone, as a result of being covered by the frame mat. A few artist's pinholes are to the corner tips. A small area of discolored adhesive is to the lower right corner tip. When viewed in raking light, a very faint scuff extends from the upper edge towards center. There is no apparent inpainting visible under ultraviolet light.
