The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Oil on canvas. Not lined. Varnished. Some surface dirt with a few pinpoint surface accretions. A line of paint separation in the brown pear at centre right. A small (approx. 1 cm.) tear in the green fruit in the upper right quadrant of the composition. Some slight undulation to the edges. Minor rubbing with associated pinpoint pigment losses to the extreme corners. Examined under ultraviolet light: no apparent retouching.
