The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
In fine condition, the property with the expected chips and marks consistent with age and use, several small areas of infill and restoration throughout. The top and square base, as stated in the cataloguing, are of a slightly different colour, but apparently original. To the baluster shaped body, a large vertical, but stable, crack. The giallo di Siena with a few scratches but otherwise in good condition. The onyx veneer to the base lacking a width and two small sections, a further five restored vertical breaks. An attractive piece, structurally sound.
Please note that the vase has come loose from its base as the glue has dried but can be easily reglued.
