The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
In addition to the catalogue description:
- trimmed within the platemark but retaining a fillet of blank paper outside the borderline.
- two tiny, very skilfully made-up paper losses at the lower sheet edge, into the belly of the cat, measuring approx. 7 x 6 mm. and 6 x 4 mm., respectively).
- another tiny (circa 3 x 2 mm.), very skilfully made-up paper loss in the lower trunk of the tree at centre, approximately 10 mm. above the shoulder of the cat.
- the lower sheet edge and blank fillet partially and very skilfully made up and reinforced.
- the lower left sheet corner partially reinforced with a thin layer of paper fibre, possibly due to a small thin area, presumably where previously removed from a backing sheet.
- the fillet of blank paper at centre left extended in a small area, possibly associated with a tiny plugged hole in the dark background to the left of the tree.
- a tiny, very skilfully repaired v-shaped paper split in the upper trunk of the central tree (approx. 1 x 2 mm.).
- a couple of minuscule repairs or disturbances on Eve's temple and forehead.
- with the usual horizontal central fold, flattened and mainly visible verso, with some tiny unobtrusive disturbances recto and verso, visible mostly in raking light.
- a couple of tiny, very skilful and unobtrusive repairs at the upper right corner.
- some light remains of old adhesive in places verso(the sheet may have been lifted off an old album sheet, explaining the absence of any collector's mark).
Otherwise as described and generally in very good condition.
