The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The work has not been examined outside of its stainless steel strip frame, which is attached with screws to the strainer. Slight discoloration and tiny spots of rubbing are occasionally to the edges and corners. Visible upon close inspection, very fine craquelure is intermittent, most notably to the outermost band, with a few associated pinpoint losses. Tiny accretions are infrequent. There is no apparent inpainting visible under ultraviolet light.
