Lot Essay

Louis Gérard started his career at Van Cleef & Arpels where he spent nearly twenty years and finally became master jeweler. In 1968, he opened his own boutique at 8 Avenue Montaigne, known as "M. Gérard". Ten years later, he became the leading French jeweler in international sales, innovating the industry with jewellery shows featuring models. In 1985, he sold his business to a group of American investors, but not more than three years later, he opened a new boutique called "Louis Gérard, International Jeweler," which ultimately closed in December 1991.
Louis Gérard's jewellery is renowned for its aesthetic beauty, modern lines, simplicity, purity, impressive size, and the exceptional colour of carefully selected gemstones. The brand skillfully combines tradition, quality, and creativity.
