In good order and appearance overall. Have been re-gilt previously, and the frames have the typical scattered chips, nicks, and small losses to carving and gilt surfaces throughout revealing gesso, bole, and bare wood in areas as to be expected with age. The plates show losses to silvering at lower edges. One mirror with circular yellow Sotheby's sticker to the reverse, inscribed '254/2'. Acquired from Stair, New York, 10 November 1988 ($36,000).
