The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The work has not been examined outside of its wooden strip frame that is attached with nails to the side edges of the canvas. The canvas is slightly slack. Faint rubbing is scattered to the right edge and two faint spots of undulation are near the lower right corner. A pinpoint accretion is near the center right edge in a purple painted passage. The sponge elements have shifted slightly in tone. There is no apparent inpainting visible under ultraviolet light.
