The lacquer with losses revealing the red bole, white gesso and bare wood underneath, especially to the angles, the edges of the carved wood, the uprights and the top of the backrest.
The lacquer has been partially regilded and restored.
Two dowels are missing at the top of the two front feet of one armchair.
The originally wooden sleeper piece under the seat is missing on each marquise.
Upholstery in good overall condition despite some very minor wears and tears as expected.
