The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The work has not been examined outside of its artist's frame, which is attached with nails to the side edges of the painted Masonite secondary support. A light layer of surface dust is present. Minor wear, minute losses, and fine abrasions are occasionally to the artist's frame. Tiny losses are occasionally to the edges of the painted Masonite, and fine drying cracks are occasional, with a few associated spots of lifting. Wear and minute losses are occasionally to the edges of the panel, and the panel has splintered at the lower left edge. The canvas is lifting slightly at the lower edges, and minute spots of fraying are infrequently to the edges. Tiny losses are to the lower corner-tips and occasionally to the lower edge. Fine drying cracks are below and left of center in a black painted passage, and a few are to the center lower edge. There is no apparent inpainting visible under ultraviolet light.
