The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The larger sheet is hinged to the backing board at the upper corner-tips and the smaller sheet is hinged to the backing board at the upper edge, and both undulate slightly. The larger sheet has shifted slightly in tone. The smaller sheet is faintly discolored along the right edge, and the left edge of the sheet is slightly deckled. Minor wear and very fine creasing are to the edges and corner-tips of the larger sheet. Faint staining is to the center of the bubble elements of the larger sheet, possibly in keeping with the artist's working method. The minute circular burn near the lower center edge of the larger sheet is presumably in keeping of the artist's working method. A few pinpoint accretions are infrequently to the smaller sheet, and a few faint spots of foxing are to the larger sheet. There is no apparent inpainting visible under ultraviolet light.
