The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The work is structurally sound. The canvas, stretcher and attachments appear to be in generally good condition. There is pinpoint rubbing to the upper corners of the artist's frame and minor packing residue to the horizontal turnover edges of the artist's frame. There is a minor abrasion with an associated minor paint loss to the upper horizontal turnover edge of the frame. The canvas undulates slightly. When examined under ultraviolet light there appears to be no evidence of any retouching. Subject to the foregoing, it is our view that the work appears to be in generally very good condition.
