The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The work has not been examined outside of its wooden strip frame, which is attached with nails to the side edges of the canvas. Visible upon close inspection, a few tiny losses are to the lower right edge. A few fine, incised lines are to the lower right quadrant, presumably in keeping with the artist's working method. Pinpoint accretions are infrequent. Visible under ultraviolet light, minute spots fluoresce distinctly, most notably near the edges of the red square, but do not appear to be inpainting.
