The canvas, stretcher and attachments appear to be in generally good condition. The canvas is slightly slack. There is some slight discolouration and minor handling marks in places to the extreme edges of the canvas. There are scattered pinpoint accretions. There is some minor rubbing to the centre of the right vertical edge. There is a linear abrasion with some associated pinpoint paint losses in the lower right quadrant. There are some faint graphite marks in the lower left quadrant. When examined under ultraviolet light, there is no evidence of any retouching. Subject to the foregoing, it is our view that the work appears to be in generally good condition.
