Movement: The movement is ticking at the time of cataloguing, and all functions are working; however, a service is recommended at the purchaser's discretion. Christie’s does not guarantee the future working of the movement.
Dial: The dial and hands show little to no signs of age.
Case: The case has surface level scratches and wear, and the gold has developed a patina. The crystal has light scratches. Hallmarks are crisp and defined.
Clasp: The clasp has surface level scratches and wear, and the gold has developed a patina. Hallmarks are crisp and defined.
Overall Condition: Very good

(b) As collectors' watches and clocks often have very fine and complex mechanisms, a general service, change of battery or further repair work may be necessary, for which you are responsible. We do not give a warranty that any watch or clock is in good working order or whether it can be accepted for service or serviced by its manufacturer. Certificates are not available unless described in the catalogue.

(c) Most watches have been opened to find out the type and quality of movement. For that reason, watches with water resistant cases may not be waterproof, and we recommend you have them checked by a competent watchmaker before use.
