The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The work is structurally sound and all elements appear to be present. The cork ball and brass rings are intended to move, and the seashell is not affixed. Slight discoloration is to the paper collage elements, in keeping with the natural aging of the medium. The general wear, cracking, adhesive residue, and surface variation to the interior are in keeping with the artist's choice of medium and working method. Minor wear, minute accretions and a few scratches are to the wooden box. There is no apparent inpainting visible under ultraviolet light.
