The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

- some short, repaired tears and nicks at the sheet edges.
- a diagonal crease near the lower sheet edge (290 mm.) and near the upper left corner (140 mm.).
- with other minor creases and smaller defects in the sheet.
- light cockling at the left and right sheet edges.
- remains of old tape at the sheet edges verso.
- hinged with paper tape at the upper sheet corners verso.
