The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The canvas, stretcher and attachments appear to be in generally good condition. There is minute rubbing to the extreme left corners and to the left grey passage to the figure's forehead. There are faint stretcher bar impressions to the edges. There is a faint superficial hairline abrasion to the extreme centre right vertical edge. There are minor drying cracks in places to the black silkscreen elements. When examined under ultraviolet light, there appears to be no evidence of any retouching. Subject to the foregoing, it is our view that the work appears to be in generally good condition.
