The Andy Warhol Diaries, an extensive compendium of the artist’s observations over the last decade of his life, provides insight into the notoriously enigmatic artist. From 17–31 March, Christie’s presents The Warhol Diaries, an online auction that offers paintings, drawings, screenprints and photographs alongside excerpts from Warhol’s original diary entries. The effect results in Andy Warhol’s visual biography, exposing his inner thoughts, extensive musings, catty gossip and detailed descriptions of events experienced by the iconic king of Pop Art.  Proceeds from the sale will generously benefit the endowment of the non-profit Andy Warhol Foundation, generating support for artist-centered organizations, the creation of new works and projects that make significant contributions to the field of visual arts.
