- There are three small areas of discolouration to the paper in the upper left of the scroll, measuring max. approx. 0.8 cm by 0.7 cm. - There is slight foxing on the upper and lower section of the mounting. - There is a small loss from the title slip label on the exterior of the scroll, measuring max. approx. 1.9 by 1.9 cm. - There is an old label attached to the string on the stave, partially folded with the characters 'shang dian' (商店) visible in regular red script.
