Details
The jar is decorated with large flower heads on scrolling leaves, with the character tian to the base. The dish is painted with a shou character to the interior, with further shou characters to the exterior surrounding an apocryphal Chenghua mark to the base. The powder blue-ground dish is decorated to the interior with two fan-shaped cartouches, one with floral sprays and the other with a riverside landscape; the base has an auspicious emblem.
The larger dish 8 3/4 in. (22.2 cm.) diam.
