The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
One group (male figure in turquoise):
- Both figures have been restored through the neck and upper-body, with associated areas of over-spraying, with further touch-ups to the woman's left leg and hands
- Some minor scattered loses including to the tip of the bow on the female figure's headband and on her ear, to the neck of the male figure's front teeth and corner of the mouth.
Some scattered rubbing and wear to the enamel
The other group (male figure in blue):
- A few areas of touch-up including to the back of the man's neck, one fingertip of the woman and to the tips of her hair ornament
- Some overpainting to the man's chest and his arms
- Some minor scattered wear and flaking to the enamels
