Christie’s is proud to present Bill Blass: American Elegance, an online-only auction honoring one of America’s most iconic fashion designers.

Bill Blass: American Elegance highlights Mr. Blass’ prolific career and encapsulates his signature designs and longstanding celebrity relationships. The sale is curated by fashion designer Peter Som and features selections from key areas within Mr. Blass’ diverse archive, including evening wear, suiting, black & white looks, sportswear, and his classic ‘when in doubt wear red’.

The sale will be open for bidding from 9 September to 23 September. The majority of the lots will remain at the Bill Blass townhouse in Midtown. Select highlights from the collection will be on view at Christie’s New York from 8 September – 13 September alongside lots from The Devil Wears Prada 2: The Auction and Handbags Online. Further collection highlights will be on view at the townhouse from 18 September – 22 September.
