Our British & European Art online auction features a curated range of works form the heart of Europe from the 19th Century. The auction encompasses a range of movements from Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite, Orientalist, 19th Century European & British Impressionist Art at opportune price points. A variety of mediums – from sculpture to paintings via works-on-paper – show a tremendous variety of creative output which resonates today. Highlights include a superb collection of captivating Dutch townscapes, belle-epoque scenes and iconic topographical views. A celebration of summer and escapism is elemental in George Clausen’s A Midsummer day and a Peder Severin Krøyer sketch for his masterpiece Midsummer Eve Bonfire on Skagen Beach.
